Neue Bank AG establishes new division and appoints Manuel Ribar as Chief Operating Officer
Vaduz, 5 December 2025. The Board of Directors of Neue Bank AG is establishing a new division with effect from 1 January 2026 and appointing Manuel Ribar as Chief Operating Officer (COO). He will assume his role as a member of the Executive Board as of 1 January 2026.
With the introduction of the COO function, Neue Bank AG is consolidating its competencies in the areas of IT, Banking Operations, Client Data & Services and Project Management. The new structure strengthens the bank’s operational foundation, improves the integration of cross-divisional processes and supports the successful implementation of Strategy 2030.
“With the creation of the COO division, we are ensuring that Neue Bank continues to stand on a stable, efficient and modern operational foundation in the future. The Board of Directors is convinced that Manuel Ribar, with his broad experience, strategic thinking and engaging personality, will make a decisive contribution to the further development of our bank,” says Hansruedi Köng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Neue Bank AG.
Roman Pfranger, CEO of Neue Bank AG, adds: “The creation of the COO division is a logical step in our strategic development. Increasing regulatory complexity, technological change and our growth ambitions require us to manage operational cross-functional topics from a single division and to coordinate them closely across the entire bank. By appointing Manuel Ribar as COO, we are entrusting this task to an individual who combines strategic expertise, operational experience and strong execution capabilities.”
Manuel Ribar has extensive experience at the interface between strategy and operational implementation. For various private banks in Liechtenstein and Switzerland, he has led transformation initiatives, optimised operational processes and supported organisation-wide projects – always with a focus on efficiency, quality and execution strength. Since February 2025, he has been Head of Executive Office & Marketing at Neue Bank AG and was, among other things, significantly involved in the development of Strategy 2030. He holds a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St Gallen, a Master’s degree in Financial Consulting from ZHAW, as well as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) qualification.
As of 1 January 2026, the Executive Board of Neue Bank AG will therefore consist of the following members:
Roman Pfranger (CEO), Claudia Jehle-Ospelt (CFO), Thomas Hemmerle (Head Wealth Management), Stefan Tschopp (Head Risk, Legal & Compliance) and Manuel Ribar (COO).
